JOB VACANCY: Head Landscaper

Streetscape is about growing lives. We enable 18-25 year olds who are long-term unemployed to fulfil their dreams, by building the skills, experience and personal attributes they need to move into and retain work.

We make this happen through providing apprenticeships in our landscape gardening business:growing lives through transforming the landscape.

We are looking for an experienced landscape gardener with exceptional interpersonal skills to join a passionate and innovative team, to:

• Lead, and provide high-calibre training, to our first team of four apprentices
  
• Be integrally involved in the establishment of this first apprenticeship programme
  
• Manage to the highest standard the hard and soft landscape projects we undertake.
  
• Provide an unrivalled service to our clients.

Streetscape represents an unparalleled opportunity to be a part of something genuinely new: a landscape gardening business driven by the dual goal of enabling young people who are long-term unemployed to move into and retain work; and by providing outstanding landscape gardening services.

Salary: £23,000 - £32,000 p.a., depending on experience

Responsible to: Streetscape CEO

Start date: June 2011

Contract: 12 months, with possibility of extension

Location: London (wherever our work is)

Working requirements:

• Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm.
• A few evenings a month for landscape design meetings with clients.
• A commitment from us to investing in you and your professional development.
• 20 days leave p.a., plus bank holidays, with a commitment from you to taking no more than two day's consecutive leave in the first month of any apprenticeship.
